in xmlspawner i see something about books.whats that?
and what are the present quests coming with xmlspawner?
there are these little blue books called "questholders" that are used to hand out quests in the xmlspawner quest system.
A player can open up the quest and check the current objectives, the status of the quest, any restrictions, and rewards if they are available by double clicking the book.
Players can carry multiple books at the same time, and so can have multiple quests running at the same time.
There are a number of example quests that can be found in the xmlextras package.
you can just [xmlload
Dracondarquest.xml
Draugquest.xml
Harmonsquest.xml
You will also need the .npc files to go along with them, samantha.npc, winthrop.npc, dracondar.npc, harmon.npc
Dracondar quest is a longer quest that begins in the bards shop in britain. Talk to the bard Samantha.
Draugs quest and Harmons quest are short quests. They start in Britain by talking to the npcs Draug and Harmon.
Check the Xmlspawner-Files forum for a longer version of Harmons quest.
in Dracondars quest, you have to track down a magic lute that was stolen by the bard Winthrop. When you talk to Samantha she will give you clues to his whereabouts. You need to hide in the proper spot in LBs castle to find him. If you talk to him you can get him to reveal where he hid the lute.
You will need to go to the right spot in Deceit and dig it up.
Then you will go to a particular spot and play the lute to summon the dragon Dracondar. If you interact with him incorrectly you may end up with nothing, but if you give the proper responses, he will give you the chance to do him a favor and receive a reward.
The favor involves killing a named lich that only comes out at a certain time of the night.
Return to Dracondar with his head and get your reward.
This quest can only be repeated about once a month.
once a month?
is it only once a month for the same player?
and how can i edit the language in this quests?
and the final question is.where the npc files must be.i intalled the whole xmpspawner files in a directory at the scripts directory.

For dracondar's quest, if you look at the spawner named DracondarQuest#6, you will see an entry like
SETONTRIGMOB/ATTACH/xmlquestattachment,Dracondar's lute,30000
The 30000 is the number of minutes until the xmlquestattachment expires. The quest will be blocked for that player while this attachment is still present, so just change that number to whatever you want.
To edit the language, you would have to edit the dialog of the npcs in the .npc files for the quest.
There is also some text in the individual quest spawners that you might want to modify.
The .npc files should be placed in a folder named XmlQuestNPC that is in the main RunUO directory.
i installed the XmlQuestNpc directory in the main runuo directory and in the game typed the command [xmlload Harmonsquest.xml
and it gives me Harmonsquest.xml does not exist.
the .npc files go into the XmlQuestNPC folder.
the .xml files go into the Spawns folder.
Both of those folders should be placed in the main RunUO directory.
ok i load them thanks.buts in draconar.i cant talk with samantha .i chanced my level too but there is no talk option
make sure that you placed all of the .npc files in the XmlQuestNPC folder.
You need the samantha.npc file there in order to load her dialog.
You will also need the winthrop.npc file for the quest.
(edit)
If you are looking for a context menu option, she isnt configured with a Talk option (it was intentionally left out).
To start the quest, listen to her banter and then ask about the "rumor"
