is there a way to enable smart spawning on all the vendors with a single command? also does having the vendors on SS afect there inventories?

i do not recommend using smartspawning with vendor spawners since it will cause their inventory to be reset every time they are respawned.

If you use the [optimalsmartspawning command to automatically configure your spawners for smartspawning, it will automatically exclude vendor spawners.

If you wanted to do something to all spawners with vendors on them, you could use [xmlfind.
Just check the 'entry' box and the 'type' box next to it, and then enter 'basevendor' into the text field below it and do a Search.
This will find all xmlspawners that have spawn entries that are derived from the basevendor class.

You can then set properties on them by entering in a command in the Command field in the lower right area of the gump, such as

set smartspawning true

and then selecting the spawners that you want it to apply to by checking the selection boxes next to each entry.
To quickly select all of the entries, check the 'Select all' box in the lower right of the gump.
To apply the command to those entries, click the button next to the Command field.

yes and thank you. I had found the [optimalsmartspawning command running thru the Faq section( very helpful section by the way). in there it only said that the vendor spawners would not be affected. so i was curious as to why not. thanks for the answer about there inventories reseting. does this even include items sold to them? will it remove them from the available items for sale?

also on another note, how much in the Faq and walkthru posts need to be updated for 2.0. I am questioning the ones where scripts need to be modded. or have you had time to mod those already?

yes, all inventory would be reset.

As for suggested mods that you find, I would say that they will almost certainly work just fine under 2.0. If there are specific ones you are looking at, I would just ask and I can confirm the details. Pretty much any mod that I have posted I am already using under 2.0 since I have already updated my shard, so I know that they work, it is just the specific line numbers and perhaps a few minor things that might differ a bit from 1.0
