
Blood Moon

Following that defeat the humans made their way deeper into the northern land. As they did they put all the villages and people to the flames with their magics and all who lived felt the sharpness of the blades. The humans started to use dogs to track any who have ran.
The few who had survived the attacks tried to go deeper into the northern lands. For the survivors had but one hope left to them and that was to make there way to the sacred groves. The groves were where the last Oracle of the moon lived.
With each day the survivors would wake early and start to run before the hunting parties. On the fourth day the five survivors awoke to sounds of the hunting parties gaining. All quickly made ready to run again. As they readied them selves to run. Two of the five sat on the ground and whispers lowly to each other. Then the elderly man stands up weakly, he turned to the other three and told them that he and his mate could not run any longer. The elderly couple gray with age told the others that when the human came this way that they would try to slow them some.
The other three turned around to face the elder couple and nodded to them. After, one by one the three hugged the elders warmly then left the campsite. The three ran for two hours then stoped at the sound of battle behind them. At the sound of the old couples death howls the three started to run with all the strength they had left to them. The survivors ran into the night trying to put more distance between them and the hunting parties. All three ran long into the night and then finally they started to fall to the ground from exhaustion. As they layed on the cold damp ground one by one they turned over on their backs and stared up at the moon.
The three layed there to rest some. The wind shifted and carried the scent of sweet flowers from the groves. They sat up and looked at each others faces and started to stand and slowly walk to where the smell was coming from. They came apon a clearing with six great stones reaching to the sky. In the middle of the stones they seen the Oracle kneeling. Looking up she waved them closer to her. The survivors walked into the circle of stones and bowed to the Oracle.
The Oracle sat still at she looked them over. Then she sighed deeply and ask," Is this all that is left of the northern tribes? Just a old warrior followed by a younger warrior and a child." They watched as her eyes filled with sadness. The old warrior nodded to the Oracle. She motioned for them to sit before her. As they did she spoke of her plan to try and save the survivors. She looked to the moon and told the other that tonight would be the blood moon. She went on to say how she would try to save them by using her magics to open a portal to a new land to live free of these foul humans touch. She looked back down at the three and told them to rest for now.
The three awoke close to dust and seen the Oracle off to their side with her eyes closed. The three talked about the many people that they had lost to make it to the groves. They talked for a few hours until the Oracle opened her eyes and stared at the blood moon rising into place. As she watched the moon she told the three where the portal would open and where to stand.
The Oracle rose to her feet and pointed to the places to stand. She walked to the middle on the great stones and started her chanting calling on the blood moon to aid her magics this night following that she chanted the the goddess to give her the strength she would need for the magics to work. As the Oracles voice started to rise in volume so did the winds around the stones. Her voice boomed over the winds till it was all that could be heard.
The magics started to work, the three stared at the portal as it glowed a golden color then changed to green then to a dark red. The three walked to the glowing portal. The old warrior turned around and watched as four scout clad in black armor made their way against the winds. The old warrior smiled and pushed firmly the other two to the portal. The old warrior turn around to face these scout.
The young child held the hand of the young warrior and watched as the older one riped his armor free of his body and his body started to make the change to that of a Hugh brown wolf. From the ground to his shoulder he stood four foot tall. The wolf walked low to the ground at first then charged the scouts.
The child pulled on the young warriors arm to watch the battle. The warrior just stared at the portal not wanting to turn around. The child looked back it time to see the wolfs' fangs bite down on the human's neck. The wolf throw his head back and tore free the mans throat. The child pulled again on the warriors arm as the child looked to the young warriors face he could see tears flowing freely down his face.
Looking back to the wolf the child seen another human down and not moving. The two men with silver spears trying to push the wolf back. The wolf jumped quickly to the sides to dodge the spears. One mans spear was to high seeing this the wolf charged the man low to the ground. The wolf got under the spear tip and clamped down on the mans knee. The child watched as the wolf throw the man from side to side wile still in his jaws.
The wolf turned to late to dodge the last mans spear. As the spear head pierced the wolfs' side deeply it jumped quickly to the side an snapped the spear head off. The man pulled his blades free and dove at the wolf filled with hate. The wolf was to slow now to dodge the blows. As the scout raised his blades one last blow across the wolfs' head.
The child seeing this quickly left go of the other warriors' hand to ran to the wolf and hugging the wolf looked up at the man as his blade raised and paused a moment. Turn to late to grab the child the warrior seen the scouts' blade about ready to fall against the child. Starting to run torwards the child the warrior looked to the Oracle but she was lost to her magics and her chanting. Turning his head around to keep running he seen the blade fall down across the child again and again.
Falling to the ground at the sight, he filled with sorrow and rage caused his body to start to change into a Hugh wolf with white furr with dark grey streaks in it. His eyes lost their color and turned red. As the wolf stood up on all four legs he turned his glowing red eyes on the scout who was admiring his kills, The wolf cared nothing of life or the fate of the tribes now. The wolf charged the scout and jumped into the air before he opened his jaws. Seeing movement from the corner of his eyes the scout turned it time to see the wolfs' fangs close around the front of his skull. The wolfs' jaws closed around the scouts temples as the wolf hit the man to the ground. The wolf slowly closed his jaws till he tore the mans skull in half and was sprayed with the mans life blood. The wolf fiercely tore the mans body apart. The wolf heard more men come up the hill. Turning back to the bodies of his father and his young brothers' he licked at their still faces tenderly then his sad howls filled the night air. The Oracles at hearing the howl turned and yelled at the wolf to be quick or all was lost.
Seeing the magical portal starting to fade the wolf closed his eyes and ran into the portal. As the wolf opened his eyes he came to see he was in a quite forest with a cool breeze blowing around the trees. Laying down on the cool grass the wolf trys to calm his rage so he could take human form again. As his body's bones shifted and changed he stood up on two legs again and looked around the area for any danger to him. Seeing no real danger he sat back down and looked to the night sky. His green eyes seen movement from behind the trees. Sitting still he watched the trees for some time.
Then a elven hunter looked around the tree to the man. Steping out from the trees the elf smiled then looked quickly away, for the man sat naked on the grass watching the elf. The warrior watched closely as the elf removed his pack and started looking for something. The elf smiled as he found a dark robe and tossed it to the man. The man sniffed the clothing before putting it on. The elf started to talk as the man dressed," Do you have a name? And what are you doing so deep in these woods alone? Wiping the blood from his body an face the mans' cold green eyes turned to meet the elf's' gaze," My name is Lucian and i was just out hunting prey."

Consecrate Weapon - Now functions by adding an additional amount of Direct Damage based on the user's Chivalry Skill. This amount is 5% + 1% per every 5 skill. At skill levels above 90, it also adds 1% damage increase per 2 skill.
Noble Sacrifice:
No longer completely obliterates your Health/Stamina/Mana on successful use. Instead, it will remove a proportion (Currently 1/2) and restore that exact amount as health to all friendly targets nearby. It will also attempt to cure and resurrect them. On top of this, it will "disengage" attackers with a blinding flash of light, stunning them for 1 second. I believe I may further remove the stam/mana loss from this.
Holy Light:
Now heals friendly targets for half of the amount as it deals damage to enemy targets.
Mysticism:
Cleansing Winds should function properly now, and has both audio and visual cues.
Ninjitsu:
An adjustment has been made to Ki Strike to make it much cheaper to use but less effective at the highest bounds of the ability. This is another step in adjusting Ninjitsu to fit the theme of the server better. Eventually the spell system will have its name changed I believe. I highly recommend players test out this change, as it really makes Ki Strike a bread-and-butter ability if one uses a very active melee play style. It works particularly well with 2-range weapons.
Heavy Weapon Strength Based Swing Speed Bonus:
This is slightly experimental, but through my testing it is not broken by any means. What this change does is give weapons with a Strength Requirement of 50 or higher (Lower Requirements will affect this) a bonus to their swing speed based on the wielder's strength. The current amount is 1% per 7.5 strength.
Powder of Fortification has been severely adjusted, pending for possible removal with other incoming changes to durability.

A number of resources have had their weights dramatically reduced. This includes raw ore, lumber, hides, lockpicks and others!
NPC repair should now remove 2 maximum durability from items, with the exception of leathers (currently). The leathers were unintentional and will probably be "fixed" to match the change. There are however a large number of changes coming that have to do with durability so it's not a large concern.
Bosses no longer require a minimum of two players to simply take damage. However neither will they have artifacts on their corpses. Instead, they have an increased chance to drop artifacts straight to various attacker's pack. The more people fighting a boss, the higher the chance for an artifact to be received. Anyone who deals enough damage (1/10th of the player who dealt the most damage.) and receives looting rights will have their own -individual- chance at receiving an artifact. What this means is that it is technically people for five attackers to receive five distinct artifacts each. The Luck attribute will increase these odds.
Enhancement has been fixed and modified. One small "bug" still exists in that naturally occurring Damascus weapons found as loot may not have the damage bonus they should. This should be fixed with the next patch,.

searching for knowledge

After some debates on how to procure knowledge of either the language or someone who could teach it, they agreed on two possible options (and as scholars tend to do, disagree on a whole lot more), one was to summon a daemon from the abyss and force it to translate the language, thou how to force one of those to do so thruthfully was another matter entirely, the other was to visit the arcane academy to look for a skilled linguistic there, or instructions on daemonic summoning for more than just a temporary combat ally.
the visit to the academy seemed to be safest bet to try for first, except for some dust allergy since the students do not seem to get classes in sweeping, there were no risks involved there, only rewards in knowledge, so off they went to the portal to the academy. inside, the cobwebs and dust assailet their noses, and after a lot of sneezing, they alas did not find a skilled linguistic, neither a broom, but they did find a book on the properties of obsidian which seemed to be a powerfull protective barrier against daemonic influences. This might be a key to forcing thruth from a daemon.
(alas, then DM announced on worldchat he had to go, so further delving in the event would be pointless before we could summon him to withness our work) so we went from ic knowledge gathering to ooc bookpublishing and language training, which seems stuck thou, but i will post that in bugs).

To all that read this... and tell all you see... Mythndale is looking for any and all able bodied warriors and crafters. The dark times are upon us and there is a great force about the lands that is getting ready to strike. It is time to prepare. Please make your way to Mythndale. For those of you who have never heard and do not know where Mythndale lies... find your way to Narrowhaven and ask about. The Mythndale Knights are out and about. Inquire with any one of them.
Also to anyone who feels they need protection from the coming storm of darkness... make your way to Mythndale. We will aid you in anyway we can.
Now.. To any and all other kingdoms, towns, villages and borrows... Mythndale is also seeking communication with your leaders, your council or whatever and whom ever is leading or governing your homeland. It is time for the lands to unite and band together to battle what darkness is coming our way. Send pigeons or runners with word on when and where to meet. You can also simply make your way to Mythndale and seek out Merrick Godfrey. He will have council with anyone and everyone... again... it is time to band together

The large fireplace on the Western wall includes the fireplace, deer head, fur, chair, footstool, and book all as one add-on. It is available facing East or South. This will be offered in very limited amounts and will be worth FIVE items.
We have four full sized fall colored trees to choose from. All come as add-on deeds! These don't produce lumber.

The Change Of Leadership

This means that while yes I will be staying in the channel, the End all be all will be left to DoubleA.
There are still MANY bugs in our systems as we've designed large amounts of content on the UORP project and now DoubleA has to play catch up. I'm sorry if anyone feels he is not moving fast enough for your wants but remember he is one person. He has his own staff members to work with him, and they will be doing a lot of things to improve the game play.
If you find a bug do not post it in the IRC. It will be forgotten about and never be delt with if that's the only place we have to find out about it. We do however have a Bug section on the forums that should be used for this.
If you rely on PM, IRC, ext, and not the forums then you only have yourself to blame when we don't realize we missed the bug you told us about, this section exists for this reason.
If you feel at any time that you wish to leave the server, please do. I'm not inviting you to leave just because... but we do not fight to keep our players here. Threats to leave will do nothing to us as our stance has always been that we build this server for fun, and not the player count. We do feel however by promoting fun on the server will increase the player count, it has never been a true goal.
I think I speak for DoubleA and his team when I say:
Please give this team time to work and sort everything out. They do not know every detail yet but they will get there. Already they have made improvements and will continue to do so as they hold the reigns, just let them do what they are trying to do and I'm sure that you will have fun on UORP too.

Mythndale… Rebuilding yet again.. New Ties

The list has grown a bit from last he looked at it but it is time to just get things done. He is still working on getting stone and ore for the walls to be built about Mythndale to secure its inner boarders. He has also noticed that there are new rable about his lands and tends to clean them up. In his travels he has found there are Egyptian folks who have moved into his Southeastern lands and taken over one of Mythndales Mining caves.. that will be delt with straight away. He has sent out several letters to the leader or leaders of these people and will first attempt to let them move out peacefully or make some other arrangement for working his lands. if this does not work he will take proper action. There is also a great deal of Orc activity to the southwest and that wil be delt with as well.
Merrick has also decided to see what can be done about clearing the jungle within his inner boarders to allow more room for business's and of course townsfolks to expand and build new homes.
Merrick also met a very interesting young maiden warrior and was inpressed by her spirit and knowledge of her skills and life in general. He had the oppertunity of a private discussion with the maiden and she has agreed to join Mythndale and help rebuild the lands about. Merrick sits and smiles a bit to himself. He is very glad she has decided to assist him, for not only does she have the true spirit of a great warrior ... she is quiet beautiful. He cant help but realize that he like her company for more reasons than just her knowledge and spirit. he is very proud of her for jumpimg right in and setting up a meeting with an individual that he may not have approached on his own. After meeting with this person he is very happy they were able to come to an agreement of service as well and feels he will be a great asset to mythndale and many ways even though he might be considered a very strange choice. Merrick leans back and drifts off into thought, he is extremely happy over the happenings in the last couple days. Grim has made some armor which the Mythndale Guard shall where and is getting ready to distribute it out and get the Guard up and functioning. A new "Manor" was built and even though things are still getting finalized and decorated... he feels good about all that is happening. ... One thing he still cant help but notice is how his thoughts always end up back on the shieldmaiden.....
