That stuff the glitters.. Gold!
By TheGuy | May 2, 2013
- Gold Coins -
Gold is the standard of currency, commonly called Golden Lions throughout the Realms, though only the Britain coins carry the figure of the lion on the coin (Gold coin designs vary from year to year but always retain a five-sided shape). The most common in the southern regions are the Calormen Gold Danter, though there are a number of other golden coins from Al Andrisat and Trinsic, as well as a number of private mints (including some adventuring parties).

History of the Great Dragon Wars, Volume 5
By TheGuy | May 2, 2013
By Horelipo Palusm the Historian
To complete the spells seven volunteers were selected each being from a different race and each possessing unique abilities from the seven schools of magic. The men and women were of noble and upright character honorable in all the virtues. Most importantly, each of the seven willingly offered themselves as a sacrifice to complete the spells. As the spell completed the seven were transformed into great pillars that glowed and pulsed to stand guard forever over the spot. As long as the pillars remained intact the great dragons shall remain sealed away for all time. Here in are listed the names of those who gave themselves that we may be free.
Zodameran Lowmag, the Mage
Mazrim Taomor the, Sorcerer
Raolin Darksbane, the Bard
Eamon Valda, the Necromancer
Rhada Asunwa, the Cleric
Morgan Willowleaf, the Wizard
Canthos Ravangaul, the Druid

Alone in the Dark..
By Fadeen | May 1, 2013
Yes this was a world different then Equinox, and the interaction here.. between the Shadow Realm and the world he found himself as inherently different.. but it lent itself to a range of abilities he had not enjoyed in the land he had been reborn to.. Powers he found himself enjoying..
He had turned over and over what was to be done now that his training was nearing it's end.. First one sharpened a blade, but one did not do to simply tuck it in one's belt.. A blade must be put to task.. So too was it with him.. He had considered merely resuming the wandering he had enjoyed so in life.. After all the tie that had bound was gone.. he no longer had his family, his home.. nothing to keep him here..
And yet.. He was inherently vulnerable absent a place to return to.. inherently at risk.. in danger.. He had never understood for so long why his Mother preoccupied so much time with manipulating human politics, why his Father played at being councilman.. After all what was the purpose of trying to impress the kine.. He had never spent time trying to pass himself off among the cattle when he was alive..
But now, in this strange place absent the safety net and the protection their long years of building had made.. he saw the merit to it.. There was more of course.. Absent Ombres, and the endless blanket of darkness even daily existence was more troubling.. the sun rose everyday and though he could withstand it for sometime if he was well fed.. inevitably it would pain him.. and as he weakened, who was to say.. He could feed for now in relative safety.. but what if he chose to turn her.. even as it was how many had he ended carelessly to feed his thirst back home..
Now he had but one.. and he couldn't risk her.. So now.. now was the reason to see the merit of an estate surrounded by servants, guardsmen.. pliable weak minds.. those that could be used.. and left to their devices, thinking their experiences odd dreams.. and if he did make the mistake of taking too much..?
Well.. work at a distant estate could sometimes be subject to unfortunate happenstance.. who was to ask too many questions.. if he was the Lord of the Land in which he chose to reside...
A small smile came to his lips as he sat in the dimly lit room of the Vesper inn.. he raised his hand outstretching his fingers, as the wisps of shadow slowly climbed his fingers lacing lazily around like twin snakes..
After all.. wasn't he the Son of a Lord.. in his homeland a prince.. surely he could find his way back to Lordship here...
House Phyrexia shall rise again..

Through Dust and Smoke
By Dantares | May 1, 2013
His friend would do as he always did, scour the area for the horde so coveted by these creatures. Damion would be granted pause to reflect on what he had witnessed as he looked over the beasts carefully placed wounds. The only signs of life the creature had once led being the soft rising ribbons of smoke and steam eminating from lacerations and noistril.
He would think of the common folk, so delicate and innocent to the ways of combat, that he would curiously conjure within his mind an appropriate sum of them it would take to fell this creature as efficiently as a single man just had.
Damion called out "Anything good?!"
"Just some coin, and another map.." Synbios sighed beneath his helm and shook his head slowly, clearly in awe of the sheer mountain of parchment they had gathered in a similar fashion. "Just what we need eh?" Although he could not see it Damion knew Synbios was smiling.
"There will come a time my friend where we shall be unable to close the treasure map chest!" Damion chuckled in his gentle way and returned his friend's suspected smile.
In that very instant a jet of sticky liquid flame shot directly between the two. So hot and close that Damion instinctively shielded his face and averted his eyes. It drew a line of flames that licked the air nearly twenty feet above, gently teasing the stone roof of the cave and dancing amongst the stalactites. "Synbios!!??" Damion yelled through the flames, but of his friend he could see nor hear any sign. He had no choice but to assume that Syn had either fallen or had fled to acquire better ground to make his stand.
Chanting softly Damion gathered whirling white hot strands of energy from the surrounding air, weaving them into an intricately latticed bolt of energy, and hurling it at the Dragon as hard as he could. The bolt screamed through the air and struck true, burning a small hole through the delicate leathery skin that formed the great wings. A moments celebration was quickly cut short as the wound sought only to enrage and annoy the Dragon, who answered in kind furling his wings and chanted in the guttural draconic tongue. In an instant a great burst of fire engulfed him and all that he could see, followed by a great explosion to his chest that sent the Wizard back through the air in a heap. His staff firmly wrenched from his grasp embedded into the cave wall with a crystalline crackling snap that shook the ground nearby, cracks sprouting all around as the force of the impact had driven it through the solid stone. Singed and bloodied Damion was unable to stand, relegated only to roll his head and gaze up to the vehicle of his oncoming doom.
The Dragon sauntered over to his prey, savoring the delight of the impending kill. It hunched down to escape the fingers of the low ceiling where he had flung his enemy, roaring loudly as from within the deepness of his mouth a brilliant sun would flare, flames licking through its throat and growing as it was fed as a furnace.
It was at that moment a terrible crack was heard from beyond the beast, a loud shriek escaping its maw as it sought to reach its long neck back behind itself. The Dragon groaned and let out a horrible low grumble as its head fell down to the floor, its wings falling limp against its body as it crashed down to the floor. An odd scraping of rock against metal was heard, seeming to come closer and closer to him. Before long a charred gauntlet was seen, then at once a helmet and the eyes beneath it seemed to smile at Damion.
"Synbios?" Damion coughed as the rising smoke from the corpse was pooling in the small alcove. "I had wondered where you went!"
Synbios waved at Damion and the two caught their breath, only to burst out in a chorus of fatigued laughter.

In the forest
By MarcieEve | May 1, 2013
----
Finding a companion had been easier than she had imagined. The mage was everything she had hoped to find, and he was good. She now had a two leg home, a place to start, an ear to whisper into. The fear rarely eased, but the duty remained the same. To learn to trust again, the vulnerability of changing, and of walking on two. Yet he seemed to understand, she could feel his strength, and his eyes masking much wisdom. Yes, he would be the one, To help her start, to help her build strength. To fight what, she only wish she knew. A slim hand snaked out from under the cloak and touched him softly on the forehead, her pointer and middle finger slid softly to the side and rested on his temple. She applied a slight pressure and furrowed her brows concentrating. Her eyes closed and after a few moments she let out a long breath, the pressure swelling in intensity, not painful, leaving him more aware, with a heavier weight. A small sweat broke out as her body temperature started to elevate. Her concentration suddenly shattered with a tangible 'snap'ing sension*
------
*She pants softly her arms wrapping around herself, energy drained from the effort*
*Looks at her concerned* are you ok bunny? *hugs her*
*She dips her head curling into the embrace as her body twitches once then quickly shrinks turning back into a bunny form.*
*He carries bunny carefully sitting down at first, then laying down on his bed. He bunches up his cloak making a little bed and setting her down carefully, laying his head down close as he slips into sleep*

History of the Great Dragon Wars, Volume 4
By TheGuy | May 1, 2013
By Horelipo Palusm the Historian
The Cowled Wizards, in search of a way to banish the dragons, discovered what came to be known by them as the “The Lost Druid Grove.†This grove was most assuredly not in any of the known lands. They surmised that it could be located on a very far away continent or possibly even in a different dimension. Its exact location was of little consequence to them; however, They discovered the grove had what could only be described in these pages as "shimmering magic pools of liquid" scattered throughout. These "pools" of strange liquid were found to function much the same as moon gates might. Allowing one to travel with relative ease from one location to another.
The Wizards, in their search for a solution to rid the lands of the greater dragons quickly surmised a plan to banish the dragons. These wizards through use of these strange pools located in the lost druid grove, and that is exactly what they set out to do.
